When I first joined o2 in August 2016, I was doing 12 hours a week alongside university.
I fell in love with the role instantly- I knew this wasn’t going to be a typical retail job. O2 get like home straight away. The people were so warm and friendly and made it so I looked forward to my two shifts a week.
The balance between work and home was brilliant, and they were always more than accommodating for my university schedule. When the opportunity to increase my hours came up a few months later, I jumped at the chance.
Once I graduated university I had no clue what I was going to do with myself, so increasing my hours in the role I already understood and knew was the only realistic option for me. In January 2018 I applied for the position of Guru, and was successful. This meant a new store in a new role, a chance to develop myself even further and gain skills I never thought I’d be able to.
I recently applied for the graduate scheme with o2 as well, as I couldn’t imagine working for anyone else now. Which means from September 2018 I will be a member of the Stores Trading Team, working alongside a brand new group of people, in a role I’ve never experienced before, but the knowledge of being within that o2 family still means I’m certain I will have the time of my life!
