Meet our contractor – Sabby Dhillon

We sat down and had a chat with Sabby about what it is like to be a contractor at O2.

Describe your job in 25 words or less: 
Agile Project Manager in Infrastructure: My role is to lead remediation project activities across Infrastructure and R&O projects. Applying Agile methodology where it is feasible

What originally attracted you to O2? 
The location of the building was very appealing coupled with O2 values of Open, Bold, Truth. I set my heart on being part of the O2 community

What are 3 words that best describe O2?
Customer First, Teamwork, work-life balance

What has been your proudest moment at O2? 
I’ve been with Telefonica for 4 weeks. The best so far is being able to flex myself and adapt to play an instrumental role by supporting our external vendors with the issues related to the ITPC MVP delivered. I feel my contribution is adding value and allowing us to move ahead with our Transformation plans

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? 
Every day is unique you learn something new every day. I like the way everyone pulls together to get the job done I am new to O2 everyone I work with are patient and helpful as I strive to build up my knowledge

What advice would you give to people looking for a role in O2? 
Never give up don’t be disheartened if you’re not successful take on board the feedback address and bounce bank, keep on trying!

What are 3 words that best describe you? 
Resilient, Pragmatic, adaptable

Do you feel you can bring your true self to work? 
Yes – The vibe is enthusiastic, friendly and everyone is professional

What are your hobbies outside of work?
I have two teenagers, so outside work its usual parenting activities,  I help run a weekly youth club locally for 10 to 16 year olds on a voluntarily basis for a Youth charity, to stay healthy I run 5k three times a week. I am a Bollywood fan so like watching movies new and old. It’s all go go go
