Working in a store I have always found Be Brilliant to be a great incentivised tool for keeping employees energised and enthusiastic in their role. It is a brilliant (if you pardon the pun) reward scheme and perks for employees simply doing what their job entails. Throughout each year there are various incentives that will run for a specific period of time and in that time; based on individual sales team members are rewarded with points, These points can mean different things.. from allowing entries into prize draws, securing a place in a league against other colleagues and winning some pretty great prizes! These prizes could be anything from Bebrilliant points, Designer gifts, Sweet treats, Tech bundles and even holidays (Insane!).
Earlier this year Bebrilliant held a Samsung incentive called Magical Marrakesh. This was where by selling selected Samsung phones meant you would be rewarded with a certain amount of points, these points would then allow you to travel along with the board on a magical journey. The more points you got the further along you would travel. Once you reached the end you arrive at the airport; this meant you would be in with a chance with potentially winning a holiday, complimentary of Samsung to Marrakesh! There were various prizes to be won along the way but obviously, the ultimate goal was to be in with a chance of winning that holiday!
This incentive for my store, in particular, brought out a competitive side between me and my colleagues – in a good way!. Samsungs tend to be phones that sell themselves but knowing that there was a potential holiday up for grabs meant that there was a certain buzz in the air. Everyone ensured that their knowledge was brushed up and we even made our own tracker that we had next to our daily briefing board. Although none of us exactly dread coming to work anyway, the incentive just made it that more exciting. I can confidently say that incentives for my store at least, create a different working environment that has a positive impact on sales.
I happened to be one of the lucky winners of this incentive! To this day I still cannot quite believe that I won such an amazing opportunity through work. Admittedly at first, I was a nervous and anxious wreck and even contemplated going, however, after speaking to Sarah Walton who was so lovely and kind when I randomly messaged her freaking out; she reassured me and persuaded me to go. To which I am incredibly glad I did. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience; I met some incredible people of whom I still speak to often and believe that they are friends for life. Being given this opportunity for being “just an advisor” really reinforces why o2 are such a great company to work for and I have to hand it to the Be Brilliant team; they really went above and beyond. The trip was unbelievably incredible in all aspects; the thought, planning, execution (and undoubtedly the stress!) that went into everything;
I am eternally grateful, it was truly an amazing and a once in a lifetime experience to which I have Bebrilliant to thank for that.
